Celebrate the magic of the movies at the 2015 Philadelphia Flower Show...it's "Lights, Camera, BLOOM." The world's great floral and garden designers will recapture iconic settings from the world's great cinema, including the amazing landscapes and horticultural "supporting actors" of the movies. A red carpet entrance will lead guests through an Art Deco movie palace topped with a fantasy marquee of dazzling flowers and lights. The 2015 Flower Show will celebrate classic films and recent hits.

SPRINGTIME IN WASHINGTON, DC

The blooming of the cherry trees around the Jefferson Memorial has come to symbolize the natural beauty of our nation's capital city. Washington's historic monuments are framed in springtime splendor when the Japanese cherry trees bloom. The famous trees indicate the coming of Spring with an explosion of life and color surrounding the monuments on the Tidal Basin in a sea of pink and white. After a brief driving tour of the area (traffic patterns permitting), the day is yours to do as you please. Drop off will be near the Air & Space Museum.

We cannot guarantee blooms will be in full bloom but we do have reasonable expectations they will be when we visit.

Arrive in Washington DC. Drop off will be at the National Air & Space Museum—enjoy the afternoon exploring a Smithsonian Museum.

Check in at the Holiday Inn Express to freshen up. Then depart for dinner at Tony & Joe's Seafood Place where the dining rooms offer sweeping views of the Potomac River, the Kennedy Center and the beautiful Washington Harbor fountains.

Menu selection required: Broiled Canadian Salmon Filet, Chicken Marsala, Maryland Style Crabcakes, New York Strip Steak, Broiled Mahi Mahi.

Following dinner our guide joins us for an Illuminated Tour—this tour provides a unique perspective to visitors as they witness DC by night. When the museums and other attractions close for the evening view the memorials in all their splendor.

Check out and depart for your Enhanced Grandstand Seating for the Cherry Blossom Parade. You see everything the "regular" seats see, with the addition of a small performance by some of the entertainers. Giant colorful helium balloons, elaborate floats, marching bands from across the country, and performers burst down Constitution Avenue in a grand spectacle of music and showmanship seen only once a year during the Festival. The steps of the National Archives serve as an exciting performance backdrop, and vibrant costumes and blossom-inspired décor create the look of nation's premier springtime parade. Spend the remainder of the day exploring the sights on your own. Depart late afternoon for home, dinner stop en route, on your own.

Lunch on your own at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield. This site was featured in the Travel Channel's "Man Vs. Food" series and offers not only huge hamburgers to feed a crowd but plenty of unique individual burgers and other offerings.

Next stop is the Grice Museum which offers a unique collection of over 70 antique and classic cars from the early 1900s to today's specialty cars plus a large collection of African game mounts. Highlights include a 1925 Ford Model T Truck and in the game section a moose with evidence of its encounter with Canadian phone lines. The gift shop includes 75 model airplanes suspended from the ceiling.

Visit the Elk Country Visitors Center outside of Benezette offering a 4D film introducing you to PA's elk, plus indoor displays and indoor/outdoor elk viewing areas. One of the best laid-out and most animal-packed zoos in the country is set among a charming 42-acre Victorian garden with tree-lined walks, formal shrubbery, ornate iron cages and animal sculptures.

In 2011, the Zoo launched an unprecedented three-tiered overhead animal trail and exploration system called Zoo360 — the first campus-wide animal travel system of its kind. The first elevated mesh passageway — Treetop Trail — opened for small arboreal species like lemurs and monkeys. In 2012, the Great Ape Trail debuted the second phase of the still-evolving system to give larger primates like orangutans and gibbons room to explore.

The big cats are getting a new overhead outdoor trail system too. Crossing extends 330 feet from the popular Big Cat Falls area 11-to-17-feet above ground.. THE CIVIL WAR EXPERIENCE Frederick, MD

Visitors to the Walkersville Southern Railroad Museum will be treated to an operating model railroad (HO scale) known as the "Monocacy Valley Railroad. Then, all aboard the Walkersville Southern Railroad for an exciting ride! Union and Confederate re-enactors will be on the train and in the bushes trackside. Caution! There will be the sound of gunfire with skirmishes along the line and a mock battle at the park.

Enjoy a buffet lunch at Boston Market, included.

This afternoon includes the interactive experience that is the National Museum of Civil War Medicine not only gives a snapshot of Civil War medicine, including dentistry, veterinary medicine and medical evacuation, it allows visitors to put faces and names to those who fought, were injured, the surgeons and caregivers who tended them. The experience is a personal one, engaging visitors in the stories of soldiers, surgeons, hospital stewards, nurses and those who volunteered, as they gain an understanding of the medical advances of the time.
